Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the Eighth Grade

I can be slightly less vague now. Here's some art by Eric, with colors by Rikki:

*edit* And to address the few questions I have received outside this blog, this particular version of Supergirl is 12, going on 13.

Oh, wow. That could will be very awesome.
Awww.. I so wanted Superpimp. In his purple cape and everything.
Oooh, it's so age-appropriate! This is going to be cool.
That's what we're shooting for. But as you well know, the industry does not typically cater to readers of such material. It's been just over 24 hours since the book was announced and I've already seen a comment that girls younger than 8th grade can have "boobs".

The person might have been joking. I don't know. But it still felt very creepy.
Wow, that's gotta be the most depressing thing I've heard all day.
I wish I could say it surprised me. Still, the important thing is that it underscores how important it is to do comics that do NOT cater to such a crowd.

If you're looking for sex appeal in a junior high school age character, you've already failed. At least, that's my perspective.
Awesome!
Thanks! Remind me to email you samples of our failed Superman pitch. Or maybe I should just post the images. They won't be used, so I guess it's fair game. Anyway, I think you'd get a kick out of it.
Very cool!
Thanks! You coming to San Diego this year? Why am I thinking you're on the West Coast these days?
I am going to San Diego. And we'd love to move out West, but we're still in NY for now.
Looking good!

Can't wait to see some more character designs.
Thanks. We have lots of art, but I've been waiting for DC to disseminate stuff first. Soon though.
She looks great!
Thanks!
Why weren't you guys at NYCC?
I was hoping to poke you with a stick.
SLG decided not to go, so no free ride this year. Next time though.
